OUR PEOPLE

The Reimagine Choir / Côr Ail-ddychmygu is a choir for the community / Cymunedol. The community choir is open to all levels for both female and male vocalists who will sing in eclectic styles of Rock, Pop, R&B to Classical Crossover and A cappella styles. The Reimagine Choir / Côr Ail-ddychmygu will also have the platform to sing record and perform new re-imagined works from Mozart to Max Martin and aim to bring a cutting-edge soundscape to the choral and group singing world, ensuring music from the past to the future gets a fresh vibrant voice to a new diverse global audience.

Bex Hazard

Artistic Director, Co-Founder

Bex Hazard is a conductor, singer, composer, arranger, record producer and dj remixer and part of the trance duo Zirenz who has always had a passion for vocal music. Co-Founder and Artistic Director of the Reimagine Choir, Bex develops all the choir’s projects and programmes and as part of the duo zirenz they arrange many of the works included in the Reimagine Choir repertoire.

Bex developed her love for choral music as a chorister with the award winning Cantamus Girls Choir & Vocal coach Pamela Cook MBE Winners of 29 first prizes in international choral festivals including the BBC Choir of the Year Competition, Montreux International and Llangollen Eisteddfod. Bex then went on to be a scholarship graduate of The Royal Academy of Music London with (Hons) in Vocal & Performance and Opera studies training with Yvonne Minton CBE, Mary Hammond and Dame Felicity Palmer DBE.

Bex Hazard has vast teaching experience spanning over 25 years coaching Classical Opera, Musical Theatre, Heavy Metal Rock, Pop and Dance Music artists signed to A&M Records, EMI, Silva Screen Records and many Independent Record labels in London UK. Bex also coached artists through Mark Hill Music The Artful Dodger, coaching Solo artists backing singers who performed with International artists Corinne Bailey Rae and Craig David MBE British singer, songwriter, rapper, DJ and record producer.

Bex has coached singers also from the Disney Mulan Stage show, Miss Saigon School London and privately coached professionals and finalists for Film and TV Shows the X-Factor and Britans Got Talent.  Bex was the Founder, Conductor and Artistic Director of the Guardian Angels Choir &  Alan Rusbridger former editor-in-chief of The Guardian PLC Newspaper and as part of the duo Zirenz she developed a vocal exercise workout CD that was used by the Cast of Chicago West end London stage show for their pre-show warm ups.

Bex Hazard is also a published singer songwriter who has Won an Honourable Mention award from the John Lennon Song writing competition USA and has had several No.1 and top 40 Singles and album releases as part of the duo, Zirenz in the Trance Dance Music Industry over the last 20 years. Bex is currently a signed artist to the Award winning International Independent Publisher Bucks Music Group Ltd and signed a distribution deal for her independent label Afterworld Recordings with International music distributor Believe Digital.

Cat Llewelyn

Assistant Artistic Director, Co-Founder

Cat Llewelyn is a singer, lyricist, arranger, record producer and dj remixer and part of the trance duo Zirenz and has always had a love for singing. Assistant Artistic Director and Co-Founder of the Reimagine Choir, Cat assists in the developments of the choir’s projects and programmes and as part of the duo zirenz they arrange many of the works included in the Reimagine Choir repertoire. Cat is also a member of the Reimagine Choir core team of singers.

Cat Llewleyn began her music career as a member of the Youth choir of Wales & County Orchestra performing on Welsh TV and Radio. Cat did an Art foundation at WGIHE and gained a Masters degree in Computer Science at Swansea University. As a vocalist she went on to study privately in London with both Bex Hazard and the theatrical and pop vocal coach Mary Hammond.

Cat has performed at London fringe theatres the Bridewell and Rudolf-Steiner theatre the rolls of, Janet -The Rocky Horror Show and Calamity – Calamity Jane and has been the lead vocalist for Zirenz Duo performing live shows at Her Majesties Theatre London, La Scala London and Birmingham Air Super Club with several No.1 and top 40 Singles and albums as part of the duo, Zirenz in the Trance Dance Music Industry over the last 20 years and is currently a signed artist to the Award winning International Independent Publisher Bucks Music Group Ltd.

In the recording studio with her knowledge of computer programming Cat has developed her skills extensively in music vocal production working in particular with Celemony melodyne studio enabling her to help vocalists get that quality vocal performance for their recordings.
